As 2016 comes to a close tonight, all this past week I’ve been working, meditating and redesigning myself for the journey ahead in 2017. The next 3 months are finally planned. I have introduced myself to a zero time budget, a zero dollar ($) budget and a blogging schedule. There are 168 hours a week, and I am planning each and every one of them. I’m going to do some major execution, as I defined that to be my word for 2016.
I am very excited for what is in store this new year.
- New songs to be written
- Friends and co-workers to be mentored
- Learning new things and serving in new opportunities
- More insight from reading
- Leading and influencing people in creative ways
I am pumped-up and ready to start.
The sadness also settles in today as I understand things come to an end as well. I have learned to say goodbye so I can also say hello to the new. There are projects, companies and even people I had the honor to work with this past year that I will say to: “I’m done here and I am moving on to something new.” To all of them I say:
Thank you for the opportunity!
I encourage you to take a moment to reflect and define the things you need to pass or remove from your plate and make room for the new. Give it a try for the next 3 months. You can always go back if something or someone was not supposed to be ‘taken out’, but you won’t know until you do it!
Let’s make it happen… Start today!
